Bigger on the Inside - Introduction (By The Genie)
SYNOPSIS:
Entering Dalek Space, the Doctor falls into a trap and takes Autumn with him as he runs for his life. But when the TARDIS takes them to the Village and everything is revealed, the Doctor realises that he would have been much safer left to the Daleks... |
PREVIEW:
He craned his neck. The spaceship was massive, more like a temple with Dalekanium-lined columns and an impressive stained-glass window, showcasing the image of the Dalek: symmetrical, uniformed. When the Daleks first came out of the shadows, the Doctor’s reaction time was slow. He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, blurring the ship’s columns. It was only when their lights flashed that he realised the trap he had walked right into. |
Here it is, at last, saving only consequences for the final episode: all the answers I've been building up to.
What is the village? Why is it cut off from the world? How far do the fields go on and what is beyond them? Who is the Window-Man? Why does Valerie dream of the Doctor? Why is there a layer of metal beneath the ground? What happened to the missing girl? What is the metal box in the field? What does the Doctor know and why is he hiding it?
What has the Doctor done? Why should he be repenting? Who is blackmailing him and Autumn and how far will they go?
Then, finally, as a less significant point but an important sideline: just who is Autumn Rivers, and what was she in prison for?
It's the longest episode of the series at 13387 words, but it's a story I've been wanting to tell for a very long time.
Bigger on the Inside will be up on Friday 24th April at 8:30
